Trilogy Waterfalls at Luisiana Laguna

Making sweet memories after a hard-fought battle is what made me decide to visit mesmerizing falls of Luisiana Laguna, Philippines. Laguna is well known for having its share of waterfalls mostly close to each other.

3 hours away from Manila you can reach Brgy. San Salvador Luisiana Laguna. If you’re commuting the ride itself is one of the good experiences here, riding a jeepney like a jungle safari ride. On your way, you’ll witness the whole Laguna bay while passing a road that curves like a chicken intestine. It was a fun ride before reaching the small barangay of San Salvador.

Trails to the Majestic Waterfalls

If you want to visit only the hulugan falls you can do so, the trail is separated from the trilogy to only hulugan falls but I advice take the trilogy it’s not hard.

Most of the way are flats and grasslands. I bet you’ll enjoy your way through it while enjoying it’s very easy trail.

Talay Falls

“The Shy but Strong Talay Falls”. The first waterfalls you’ll come across the trail. It’s small but even from afar, you can hear it’s raging waters. Though being small it has a deep basin that it is not advisable to swim around but you can swim on other falls you’ll visit. However, this is the only place that has a resting place and here we take our “merienda” before continuing the trail.

Hidden Falls

“The Mysterious Hidden Falls”. This one is my favorite among the 3 waterfalls around Luisiana. The rock formation on this falls is just a mysteriously shaped square for some reason. And for some reason that I can’t explain I’m drawn by its majestic beauty. You can also come up close and personal to this falls. Yeah, that’s right, you can go and catch those waters while standing in that square rocks below it. Just be careful though it’s slippery!

Hulugan Falls

“The Mighty but Silent Hulugan Falls”. The highest waterfall in the province of Laguna has a height of approximately 70m is probably a calm one. While standing that high it’s a silent one, unlike the first 2 waterfalls, this stands strong yet loving and caring for what I felt. While being that calm, the water’s strong that it can even reach the little cave where we take our lunch.

Overall visiting these waterfalls is worth it! It has so much to offer not just the falls but the diversity of nature. Let me share some of my last photos of nature’s beauty that I came across the trail. Thanks for reading and God bless. Hope you enjoyed reading.
